Food Support for International Students

After the outbreak of COVID-19, our school promptly conducted interviews with international students to understand their economic and psychological situations, and has been continuously providing support — utilizing various social resources in response to changes in their living environments — so that students can study and live with peace of mind. This time, utilizing a grant from the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO), we implemented a "food" support program for economically struggling international students, providing each student with a gift card (worth 10,000 yen) and food items (worth 5,000 yen). For the food items, we took religious dietary restrictions into account and prepared 5 kg of Niigata Koshihikari rice and vegetable retort curry, among other items. Students were very pleased, and expressed their gratitude to both JASSO and the school.

We will continue to provide timely support as needed. To all our students: please be thorough in your infection prevention measures, and keep working hard with a positive and energetic attitude — each of you toward your own dreams.
